Doug Johnson was radically saved from drugs and alcohol in his early twenties; coming out of the hippie movement he became a passionate disciple of Jesus. After his conversion, he was filled with a fiery Baptism in the Holy Spirit. In his early years, Doug ministered as an evangelist in local jail /street ministry’s and also as a worship leader in the local church. At the Toronto Blessing, he experienced a glorious baptism of the Fathers love through the ministry of John Arnott. As the Toronto renewal hit his local church it unfortunately, caused division and Doug left the ministry and entered into an extended dark night of the soul. In the spring of 1999, God revealed Himself in a bright cloud of Glory in his living room and called him back into ministry, resulting in the formation of Harvest Church of Hampstead Md. Harvest is one of first churches to join the network of ANGA (Apostolic Network of Global Awakening) under the leadership of Randy Clark. He is also a Global Legacy affiliate under Bill Johnson’s ministry. Doug has since traveled the nations, having the privilege to minister and preach on teams with his heroes of the faith, Randy Clark, Surprise Sithole, Leif Hetland, Heidi Baker and other apostolic leaders. After ministering the Gospel through the ministry of deliverance and healing in the nations, Doug’s heart is now focused on equipping spiritual sons and daughters in the local church to manifest those same Kingdom realities in the Power of the Spirit through the Fathers love. Doug is also involved a regional ministry called the Baltimore Alliance, encouraging and equipping leaders of precious like faith to establish “Kingdom Outposts ” to experience the Genuine Reality of His Kingdom coming to earth. Doug now resides in Manchester MD and is married to his best friend Betsy for 43 years, he has three wonderful children and four perfect grandchildren.
