Ever been at an outside event or at a festival during a heat advisory? Ever tried to stay hydrated without being in shade? Ever wore protective clothing and still affected the the extreme effects of the sun and heat?
The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.
Psalms 121:5-6 NLT
Oh Our Lord, we are sure of Your protection over us and even the shade that protects us from elements that are meant to harm us. Lord, we thank You that You bring protection at the times we are most vulnerable and send help to defend us from things we are unaware of. We are blessed by Your care and how You stay with us as our covering. We thank You for not forsaking us. In Jesus name.
