Day 8

Isn’t it amazing that we can say we know God and we go to church every week, but we won’t surrender everything to Him. Just think, God can forgive you and yet you still feel you must be the one in control.

You know you can say that God is your first priority, but you leave Him out of the smallest things that He cares about, and you still insist on staying in the driver’s seat and not moving to the passenger’s seat, so He can be the one to lead you down the right path.

Prayer and fasting can be more rewarding when you become the passenger and allow God to be your driver. We should completely surrender to God so we reap the pleasures of Love, Joy, Peace, Freedom and sitting in His presence so we can capture the glory. We often believe that Prayer and Fasting is only for intercessors and high up leaders, but it is a must and it should be part of our lifestyle for every Christ like believer to keep our spiritual fervor.

God is asking you a question, “Will you let me drive?  Will you give me complete control?  If you want all of Me, then I need all of you.” Today will you tell Jesus to have His way in your life?

Is there something that you need to surrender to God today? What have you been holding on to that you need to give back to God? During your prayer time today, give God the things that you have been holding onto and watch how He moves mountains in your life.

Papa God, Thank You that you give us the choice to become a true Jesus follower, so we have the true dunamis power to walk away from the lifestyle of this world.  Help us to reject and disown our own carnal lifestyle.  Let us be son’s and daughter’s that want to experience the cross as Jesus did, so we have the strength to surrender all things in our lives that don’t line up with God’s Word.  Let us want to become more like Jesus with each thing we surrender.  We declare this by faith in Jesus Name!

Y 7 – DEVOTIONAL

Has your Passion for God gone flat? Are you struggling to rekindle your Passion and your fire for God and his Word? Are you struggling to hear His voice for yourself?  During this time of fasting, partner with the Lord to rekindle and reignite your Passion for all things concerning Him and your covenantal partnership with Him. During your times of fasting and prayer, ask the Father for that fire. Ask for that passion. Ask to be filled to overflowing with joy, love, peace, and your hope be reignited.  Pray that you will experience the fullness of life in every area of your life and you would become one with the Father.

Oh, All Knowing Father, we want to burn for You and what You have placed inside each of us.  Help us, Father, to understand the impact of our prayers and what our obedience to Your voice brings in the earth. We want to understand our covenant and partnership with You more than ever before. Help us, Oh God to become the fiery ones that are ignited when we hear Your voice. In Jesus’ name, amen.
